Who is responsible
This policy covers eclipsevisualmeditation.app, its public pages and the browser meditation application at /app. The operator and controller for the personal data described below is:
POPESCU TUDOR CĂTĂLIN CORNELIU PERSOANĂ FIZICĂ AUTORIZATĂ, a Romanian authorised sole trader (PFA).
Fiscal identification (CUI): 51170999. Trade Register: F2025001952006.

Contact for Eclipse support and privacy requests: [email protected].
Eclipse is a free visual meditation service for adults worldwide. It has no user accounts, advertising, analytics scripts or server-side profile database. We do not sell personal data, build advertising profiles or use support messages for marketing.
Your browser preferences
The application remembers only your chosen nickname and appearance preference on your device, using localStorage keys eclipse.displayName.v1 and eclipse.theme.v1. You can use a nickname rather than your real name. These values are not sent to us or to a remote profile service. No breathing session history is recorded or transmitted.
Preferences remain until you change them, choose Delete local profile in Profile and appearance, or clear this website’s browser data. They do not sync between devices or with Android. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent them from being retained. We cannot retrieve or delete these local values remotely.
Marketing pages do not save a profile. Fonts, artwork and application files are served from the website; your browser may cache them. Sound is generated locally during a session. Fullscreen and screen wake features depend on browser support. There is no offline installation or service worker.
Hosting and security
We use Cloudflare Pages to deliver the static website. Serving and protecting the site involves processing technical request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser details and request time. Our purpose and legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR is to provide a functioning, secure website and prevent abuse. We do not use these requests to build user profiles or keep an application-level access-log database.
Cloudflare processes technical data through its hosting and security infrastructure. Its retention depends on the service, security purpose and applicable legal obligations; the 12-month email rule below does not apply to Cloudflare’s technical records. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for its processing and retention criteria.
Eclipse’s application code sets no cookies and includes no advertising or analytics scripts. Depending on the protection applied to a request, Cloudflare may use security cookies or technical checks. These are separate from our local browser preferences. See Cloudflare’s cookie information (opens in a new tab) for the relevant security mechanisms.
When you email us
Contacting [email protected] is optional. It shares your email address, any name you provide, your message and attachments with the operator and Google’s Gmail service. We use them to answer your request, resolve problems and manage follow-up. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing support and handling enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If a request concerns a legal obligation, such as exercising a data protection right, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR also applies as appropriate.
We delete routine support correspondence from our mailbox 12 months after the enquiry is closed. Specific records may be kept longer where a legal obligation or an ongoing legal claim requires it, limited to what is necessary. Google’s deletion and backup processes apply separately. Please avoid sending health information, passwords or unnecessary personal data. Without a reply address and enough information about the issue, we may be unable to help.
Voluntary support and other links
You can voluntarily support the project through Buy Me a Coffee (opens in a new tab). It is an external service with its own payment providers and privacy policy (opens in a new tab). Eclipse has no payment form and receives no card details through this website.
The platform may make support messages and transaction information available to the creator. We do not import that information into a website user database or use it for marketing. Any records that must be retained for accounting or other legal obligations are handled for that purpose under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and kept for the applicable statutory period. Following any external link brings you under that service’s own privacy practices.
Providers and international processing
Cloudflare provides hosting and security, and Google provides the support mailbox. They may process information outside Romania or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Transfers are subject to the safeguards applicable to the service, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Details are available in Cloudflare’s data processing terms (opens in a new tab) and Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab). Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to data we handle. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of personal data we hold. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent for a particular future activity, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Send requests to [email protected]. We normally respond within one month. Where a lawful extension is needed because of complexity or the number of requests, we will explain it within that month. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We do not collect extra information merely to identify local browser preferences that we cannot access.
You can complain to Romania’s National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP; opens in a new tab), or another competent supervisory authority, including in the EU country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us first.
Adults and the Android application
Eclipse is intended for people aged 18 or older who are legally adults where they live. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it and delete it where appropriate.
The Android application is a separate product in development. This website does not access Android profiles or local preferences. Its release will have privacy information describing the actual Android implementation.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when our data practices change and show the new date above. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention through an appropriate notice on the website. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
